Subject: Security Alert—Incidents on Redlands campus
Public Safety would like to advise the community of incidents on the main Redlands campus.
On the evening of September 3, Public Safety was made aware that the individual depicted in the photo below entered an organizational house on the Redlands campus and attempted to sell narcotics to those present. When he was asked to leave the premises, the individual became belligerent and a brief altercation ensued. Both Public Safety and Redlands Police responded, and the individual was arrested. The next day, after being released, he was seen returning to get his vehicle and stopping by the organizational house with a hostile demeanor. Public Safety again directed him to leave the campus and advised him that he would be arrested for trespassing if he returned.
If you see this person on campus, please contact Public Safety immediately.
On a separate matter, Public Safety has recently received reports of an individual prowling at the Brockton Apartments in the late evening hours, peeking into the bedroom and bathroom windows on the first and second floors. This individual appears to use the air conditioning units outside of the apartments to elevate himself to a position that allows him to see into the second-floor bathroom windows. These occurrences have primarily been reported in the planter area on the west side of the Brockton Apartments, adjacent to Farquhar Field, between the hours of 8 p.m. and midnight. Public Safety believes the individual involved in these incidents is pictured in the photo below. If you see him, please contact Public Safety immediately.
These incidents serve as a reminder to all members of the University community to report any situation of concern, as well as to take reasonable precautions:
Our highest priority remains the safety and security of our campus community members. Please contact Public Safety at 909-748-8888 or ext. 8888 with any questions.
