TKO sends Redlands student volunteers to spend time with children who are hospitalized. Volunteers will go at least once a week of 2-3 hours and have the opportunity to help the kids develop through reading, music, games, crafts, and other sensory activities.
· To enrich the lives of children who are technology dependent, medically fragile, or developmentally disabled.
· To create awareness about children with special needs and find ways to help them develop.
· To create a caring and positive environment for the children we work with.
· To develop strong leadership skills for everyday life as a volunteer and as a person.
All that is required is to get a TB skin test and to go through a short orientation at Totally Kids Rehabilitation Hospital.
