Through the implementation of camera trapping supplemented by habitat analysis and geographic information systems this experiment is intended to gain a more in-depth understanding of the mammals present in the Bear Paw Reserve. This research was an ongoing project that employed the usage of twenty-five camera traps in fourteen locations. With a stronger understanding of the species present within Bear Paw we anticipate a more thorough insight into the behavior of mammals pertaining to habitat preference within the reserve. A specific emphasis is put on analyzing black bears in the Reserve to see if there are effects of possible poaching in the area.
