In the Glenn Wallichs Theatre
Weaving physical spectacle, text, music and film into a non-linear narrative, AMERYKA illuminates the place of Democracy between America and Poland over four different eras. Through provocative juxtapositions and boundary-pushing theatrical forms, this diverse cast plays multiple roles, inhabiting constantly shifting time-spaces, exploding facts of history into poetic events- revealing the beating heart that propels each nation towards the realization of its more perfect union.
AMERYKA is presented by the U of R Theatre Arts Department, in conjunction with U of R Government Department and thanks to the Lossett Endowment with the support of the consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Los Angeles and Poles in the Inland Empire (PIE).
